GMS R&D Department Accelerates 3D Digital Sampling & Virtual Prototyping with CLO3D
Product Development & R&DJuly 24, 20253 min read
Our dedicated 3D CLO virtual prototyping lab reduces physical sampling lead times by 65%, enabling global fashion buyers to approve fits and colorways in real time.
In response to the fast-evolving global apparel supply chain, GMS has scaled its 3D Virtual Prototyping and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) division utilizing CLO 3D and Browzwear platforms.
By generating photorealistic 3D renders with exact fabric drape, elasticity, and tension heatmaps, our designers collaborate directly with international brand merchandise teams in Europe, North America, and Japan.
Key benefits realized in Q2 2025:
- 65% reduction in physical sample iterations, drastically cutting fabric waste and carbon emissions from air courier logistics
- Rapid 48-hour fit turnaround from initial tech-pack receipt to digital twin approval
- Seamless digital fabric mapping directly linked to our high-speed circular knitting and automated jacquard mills.
